TO VIENNA

By Air: Vienna International Airport is about 30 minutes by train or taxi from both the Hofburg and IIASA. Participants of IIASA’s Conference are eligible for the following discounts with Star Alliance Airlines:

• Up to 20% discount on business class fares;
• Up to 15% discount on economy class fares; and
• The discount is also available for one accompanying person, who travels with the conference participant to and from IIASA’s Conference.

The discount is only available for:

• Travel between 17 October to 2 November 2012; and
• The following participating Star Alliance Airlines: Aegean Airlines, Air Canada, Air China, Austrian, Blue1, bmi, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Egypt Air, LOT Airlines, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airlines, TAM Airlines, TAP Portugal, Thai Airways International, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways.

To qualify for the discount, please discuss your travel arrangements with IIASA’s travel and event management partner, Mondial, via email: iiasa@mondial-congress.com. Certain exceptions to the above discount apply depending on the flights and fares selected.

By Train: Travelling by train to Vienna is a comfortable and environmentally-friendly option. Vienna’s main railway stations are all a short ride by subway from the Hofburg. More information on rail connections between Vienna and Europe can be found here.
